Nationality: British
Occupation: In-house Consultant (Insurance Industry)
Best piece of advice I received when applying to b-school: Know the answers to these 3 questions and be able to answer them in 30 seconds: Why do I want to do an MBA; Why do I want to do one now; Why do I want to do one at this institution?
About me: After 5 years as an officer in the British Army, I moved into the Insurance industry, spending 3 years at Aon in London learning broking, and then moving to the Underwriting side at Bermuda-based Endurance. After 3 years with them in London, I moved to their New York Offices as the Senior Business Analyst, looking at optimizing internal Strategy, Organization, Processes and Technology. With such a broad scope, I figured it was time I got a formal education, so I applied to the best EMBA program I could find …..

Nationality: Hong Kong SAR
Occupation: Head of Technology Innovation at British Telecom
Best piece of advice I received when applying to b-school: Apply as soon as possible, don’t delay. Because the earlier you get into an MBA programme, the more value you will get out of it. Think NPV!
About me: I was born in Hong Kong. I went to UK when I was 15 to continue my education. After graduating from Imperial College, I joined BT R&D. This exposed me to state-of-the-art ICT technologies. I have been driving technology innovation ever since. I am currently responsible for executing a major system transformation programme. During my 11 years at BT I have also worked on establishing a global R&D centre in China, driving wireless strategy, managing research programmes and developing future Internet technologies. My personal mission is to bridge the “digital divide”. I founded a company to provide cost effective IT and consultancy services to the SOHO and SME market. I enjoy playing table tennis, Salsa dancing, cooking and driving. I love Porsches.
