Best piece of advice I received when applying to b-school: The Sloan MSc in Leadership and Strategy is not your typical business school program and so warrants a bit more contemplation. The best advice? Be honest with yourself about why you want to do this and your expectations. Then learn as much as you can about your options and go with your gut.
About me: I grew up in Denver, Colorado (but don’t ski). I lived for four years in Zurich, Switzerland (still don’t ski), then in Los Angeles and San Francisco. I’ve been in London since 2008 and still miss the California sun. I have a PhD in Neuroscience and am particularly interested in issues addressing access to medicine, patents and intellectual property management, innovation, and exploring new business models in the pharmaceutical industry.

Nationality: Indian
Occupation before London Business School: Treasurer, Yanbu National Petrochemical Company, Saudi Arabia
Best piece of advice I received when applying to b-school: SYour commitment to do the course, shows in the application, so persevere and be original.
About me: Hi Everyone, I am from India but was working for the last 6 years in Saudi Arabia. Had pretty deep lessons in change management right from the early days – changed 6 schools for my 12 years of schooling and 2 universities in 3 years of undergrad (no not flunked or thrown out, kept moving with dad’s relocation with his each new job transfer).
This eclectic mix continued in career as well right from telecom to BPO to consumer banking to finally corporate finance. No wonder LBS seemed to be the obvious choice not only for its quality of education but for its amazing diversity as well. So here I am starting the journey at LBS, dreams of which have kept me awake many a nights.
Hope to follow my passion for travel as an entrepreneur post Sloan – culture tourism, destination India.
